Devils Advocate


An impressive collection of Scottish and world whiskies and award-winning bartenders create for a brilliant and buzzing modern city bar in the Devil’s Advocate. Venture down Advocate’s Close (just next to Old Town Chambers!) and discover this industrial chic bar that serves cocktails, whisky, and delicious food too! A classic and perfect for all the family, Zizzi’s Roxburgh Court is just next door to Old Town Chambers! With an interior inspired by the old law courts and the Advocate’s Library, this restaurant fits in well with the historic surroundings. It also offers cracking views across Princes Street Gardens – a bit like our apartments next door!

Pickerings Gin


A multi-award winning hand-crafted gin, Pickerings is a proudly made-in-Edinburgh Gin. The Summerhall distillery which Pickering’s calls home was formerly a vet school and is open for guests to take a guided tour. Pickering’s offer three different bottlings along with occasional limited editions, perfect for any seasoned gin drinker!



A long established Scottish Jewellers, Laing has been dealing in fine jewellery and watches for two centuries. The company is still owned and run by a member of the Laing family and they pride themselves on offering personal customer service that reflects these familial values. Their store on George Street is perfect for picking up a special gift for yourself or a loved one.

The Royal Yacht Britannia

Scotland’s ‘Best’ Attraction, the Royal Yacht Britannia was once the travelling home to Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Family for over 40 years. Now berthed in Leith in Edinburgh, Britannia is open for guests to tour her beautiful rooms and cabins and learn about the interesting history of this lovely ship.
