As the nights start to draw in and the autumn leaves begin to fall, you would be forgiven for retreating to your humble abode and admitting defeat accompanied by a warm blanket and hot chocolate…autumn in Edinburgh however, begs to differ.

Top notch theatre continues as Shrek  and his loyal donkey take to the stage at Edinburgh Playhouse. This is sure to be a hot ticket, so be sure to check out our theatre breaks page to keep up to date with all that’s happening and upcoming show dates.

To complement the dramatical, currently underway is the Edinburgh Restaurant Festival. For the foodies out there this is not to be missed, running from the 8th – 18th October, some of the best loved restaurants in the capital will be offering three course lunches for £15 and three course dinners for £25. November 5th is a night to behold in Edinburgh, colloquially known as Guy Fawkes or Bon Fire night, this night is etched in history and modern celebrations mark a great family event of fireworks, sparklers, music and good food. Christmas and New Year

christmasWhen it comes to Christmas and New Year, Edinburgh is a world renowned city in which to celebrate these special times. Situated on the Royal Mile, Old Town Chambers is set to be a big part of the celebrations as an official partner of Virgin Money’s Street of Light.
